In England, marriage was a legal contract before it became a religious one.
In ancient Greece, although *** marriage was far from normal it did occasionally happen… same thing in Egypt.
As far as the LEGAL right to practice religion is concerned – there are Pagans who perform *** Handfastings, *** Christian Churches who perform marriages, and Buddhists who will facilitate a *** marriage ritual.
Will the anti-gay movement be willing to challenge their freedom of religion from congressional control in order to prevent *** marriage?
